My period needs to start now. I was doing really well eating healthier, but this weekend all I wanted was junk food. My emotions were all over the place. It was ridiculous. Please, period. Put me out of my misery - and Meghan out of hers. ;)

I hate today, and I hate my period, and - I was going to say that I hate being a girl, but that's not true. I just hate being one of those girls.

I told myself I was going to get up and shower twenty minutes ago, but here I am. Still sitting here. I think after I do shower, whenever that happens, I'm going to go to Steak n Shake and see who's working tonight. I'm not sure what I'm going to do after that. I don't want to be alone right now, but I also don't want to subject anyone to my company. Hanging out with sad people sucks, and I'll just end up feeling like more of a jerk. Whatever. I probably won't go anywhere, now that I think about it.

And the new year begins fabulously. My French class is meeting in a computer lab today. Today is my 14 month anniversary with Kristin! I want to remember today for what it meant to me. I dreamed last night that I did a Google search for "Sammi" that lead me to someone from high school's journal. My sister just shouted, "Let the water heat up a little!" in her sleep. I'm back from California, but on my way to Aurora for the weekend. This being-friends-with-my-co-workers thing is sort of surreal. Guh. That girl turns me into a flailing, lovesick mess. I am currently laying on my new bed - well, new mattresses. Am sitting in Steak 'n Shake, two and a half hours early for my shift. Didn't fall asleep until almost 11 o'clock this morning.

Also? I've said it before and I'm about to say it again: my landlord is Trelawney. We were finally home (and awake!) at the same time tonight, so I was able to pay my rent. And she acted like she didn't even know it was almost a week late! Plus the hair! The glasses! The bangles! I've never seen inside her part of the building, but I wouldn't be surprised if everything was draped in scarves and there was a crystal ball on every table.

Also, news: I got a 99.5 on my first linguistics test. That's good because I am going to major in Linguistics! Yes, I've chosen. :D How cool is that?

Last night Kristin and I went to the Vagina Monologues, so my away message was (appropriately), "Vagina Monologues!" While I was gone, my father sent me a message that read, "Are vagina monologues something a father should know about?" Hahaha.

Then a friend of mine sent me this amazing message on MySpace. It was a sort of kick in the pants because it reminded me of who I used to be and that even now I'm not far away from that person. Thank you. :)
